Memo to Celebs: Our Laws Don’t Apply to You

Get Out Of Jail FreeOr at least the punishments for our laws don’t seem to apply. Seems like there are little to no consequences for breaking the law if you’re a big-time celebrity, or you’re the son/daughter of a celeb. Apparently it’s not so bad to drive drunk, aggressively chase down others with your car, get in fights with the police, or anything else you want to do these days, as long as you’re famous. At worst you’ll get a slap on the wrist.

Case in point - Hulk Hogan’s 17-year old son, Nick, who has a history of extreme speeding, not to mention aggressive and dangerous driving that resulted in a recent crash leaving his friend/passenger in a coma. Is Nick in jail now? No. Of course not. Authorities haven’t even suspended his driver’s license - they’ve only “restricted” him to driving during daylight hours. Do they think he won’t speed during the day?

Wanna bet he winds up going to Rehab to avoid jail? That seems like the hip thing to do these days.
